A Canvas parent observer can link their Canvas account to their student’s accounts to check their grades, view assignments, and read instructions.

To start the process of becoming a parent observer, all you need to do is create a Canvas parent account on the Canvas parent portal, and in case you don’t know how to do that, just follow the steps that are given below: 

Create an Account as a Parent in Canvas!

If you are a parent of a canvas user! So you must account for yourself to keep track of your child’s growth and learning, so here we’ll guide you through creating your parent account on canvas for yourself.

1) Visit this link https://fisd.instructure.com/login/ldap, and you’ll be redirected to the login page.

2) You’ll see an option at the top right of “parent of a user”; you just need to click on that and open it here.

3) When you are done, you are required to provide the details they’ve asked for in the given blanks, which include name, email, password, re-enter password, and student pairing code.

4) You can click on “what is a pairing code” to get more information.

5) You can easily track your child’s FISD progress by creating a Canvas account and logging in.

How to Generate a Pairing Code

In case you don’t know how to generate a pairing code, then you must look at these steps:

1) The first thing you’ll need to do is generate a pairing code, which can be generated from the student’s portal, and the student must log in first. in structure with their regular email and password. 

2) Then go to the account’s setting, and then on the far right-hand side, choose pairing with the observer.

3) Canvas will generate a code that will expire in seven days, and you’ll need this code whenever you sign in to the parent account.
