Wearing Prints? How to Do and Look Great for Plus Size Ladies

Prints are a bold clothing choice. Irrespective of your shape or size.

If you are a plus-sized lady, the entire process can feel daunting. But this is due in part to most fashion advice which has been targeted at larger ladies over the years. Such as the myth that only solid colors work on them. Or that prints are a big no-no. Well, guess what? That’s rubbish! Every woman can pull off prints. You just have to know how to do it.

Read on for some quick tips on prints that can help accentuate your shape. While keeping you looking stylish at the same time.

Slimming Prints

There is a range of prints that you can look great in when wearing plus size dresses UK. Why not try prints with an Aztec theme? Or even ones like paisley? Just make sure that these prints do not have large gaps between them. Or why not opt for an outfit where they are placed vertically. Try to avoid options where the patterns are horizontal.

Hints of a Print!

You don’t have to go all out, so to speak, when choosing prints to wear.

Why not choose clothing that has a print on the hem? Or why not choose a print on a scarf or a cape? These are all striking ideas that can add a touch of class to your outfit without overdoing it on the patterning. Contrasted with blacks and whites, a printed hem can be dazzling. And look very sophisticated.

Mix, and Match

OK, don’t panic! There is no suggestion that you have to mix leopard print with zebra print or anything like that!

Mixing and matching when it comes to prints generally refer to balancing elements in your outfit. For instance, if you are wearing a printed red skirt, why not pair it with a black top? This can help to strike the perfect balance and then continue to mix it up with tops, trousers, or other accessories with solid hues.

Mixing Prints

Ok, now may be the time to panic!

It is a bold move to truly mix prints. Irrespective of your age and body shape, it can look fashionable if done subtly. How do you achieve this? Well, it depends on the result you want.

If you are looking for a contrasting mixed print, aim to use geometric prints with natural ones. It is somewhat unheard of to mix animal prints, such as leopard and zebra. However, if the animal prints you are mixing have the same base colors (leopard and tiger), then it can work. Just be subtle.

Colors

It doesn’t matter what your size is when it comes to prints. If the print does not match your skin tone, you will look washed out and sick. Which is not something you want.

Consider the hues of your skin. If you have naturally red hair, the undertone is likely pink. So, purple-based prints, red-based prints, and green ones will look best.
