Top 10 Players in the NBA

The NBA is filled with a bunch of talent from all over the world. Let’s take a look at the top ten players in the league from a talent pool you’ll need to know in order to make NBA picks successfully.

10. Karl-Anthony Towns, Minnesota Timberwolves

Karl-Anthony Towns is as consistent and reliable as they come for a star in the NBA. He can shoot the three, drive to the rim with reckless abandon, and pick up easy points in the paint with his post-up abilities.

Towns is coming off a season where he averaged nearly 25 points per game on 50 percent shooting from the field including 40 percent from three. That is unheard of for a big man. Perhaps there is some merit to his statement that he’s the best big-man shooter of all time.

9. Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics

Jayson Tatum got the Celtics to the Finals for the first time in his career, and although he struggled at times during those games, there’s no doubt that he’s quickly emerging as one of the deadliest scorers this game has to offer.

If Tatum can knock down his threes with a little more consistency, he could average 30 points per game in his sleep someday.

8. Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks

Luka Doncic had his best season yet, as he was able to lead the Mavericks all the way to the Western Conference Finals.

He essentially becomes unguardable when he drives to the rim, as defenses either end up fouling him or are just left off balance with his craftiness. Add in his playmaking skills and he’s just unstoppable.

7. Joel Embiid, Philadelphia 76ers

Joel Embiid is one of the deadliest scorers inside the paint, but he can also stretch out opposing defenses with his ability to shoot the three.

Embiid can also shut down the paint with his imposing strength and willingness to body up opposing players. When healthy, he is a perennial MVP candidate who helps a lot of people hit their picks and parlays.

6. Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets

Nikola Jokic is the epitome of a stat sheet stuffer, as he can get you points, rebounds, and assists. As a center, he’s not supposed to be this well-rounded. But he’s a two-time MVP for a reason.

If his teammates can get healthy, Jokic and the Nuggets could end up making a deep playoff run next season.

5. Kawhi Leonard, Los Angeles Clippers

Kawhi Leonard missed all of last season, but when healthy, he’s still a superior two-way player.

Leonard knows exactly how to get going on offense with his ability to score in a multitude of ways and his ability to shut down the opposing team’s best player.

4. LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers

LeBron James is 37 years old, but if you see him out there, you wouldn’t think so at all. He led the league in scoring last season and is still available for the majority of games.

If the Lakers can figure out how to get the right pieces around him, he could still carry a team deep into the playoffs.

3. Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors

Stephen Curry just won the fourth ring of his career, as he is still a very deadly 3-point shooter. You’d be wise to put your faith in him for your NBA picks today.

The fact that he was able to bring the Warriors out of the bottom within a couple of years proves just how great of a basketball player he is. Once Curry crosses the half-court line, opposing defenses aren’t safe. He can light it up from anywhere.

2. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks

Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks got eliminated from the playoffs much earlier than they would’ve liked, but his talent on both sides of the floor is undeniable.

He is unstoppable once he gets a head full of steam to the rim and is also smart enough to make plays for his teammates.

1. Kevin Durant, Brooklyn Nets

What Kevin Durant was able to do with the Nets last season is nothing short of amazing. He was able to basically single-handedly lead them to the playoffs while dealing with all the organizational dysfunction.

KD is just an unstoppable scorer. When he gets to his spots in the mid-range, behind the arc, or at the rim, it’s automatic.

When he’s healthy, he’s clearly the frontrunner for the MVP Award. He can also lock down the opposing team’s best player.
